On Friday the 14th of December Prince Carl Philip recived christmastrees from the students from the School of Forest Sciences.
From the School of Forest Sciences came Jonas Eriksson, Adam Klingberg, Hampus Plantman, Magnus Järlesäter och Tor Nylinder and told the Prince about the donated trees.

Since the end of the 1960’s SLU gives the christmastrees to the Royal palace. This year four King Firs was donated.

Tor Nylinder explained that the tree (kungsgranen, the king’s fir) got it’s name after this tradition, before that it was called nordmannsgran (northen man fir)
