Hi all you royal babes! Here’s the how to :) I find that it worked really nicely for me, hope it works for you too! Let me know how your hair turns out :D
One of the great things about curling your hair this way is that it’s very gentle on your hair, using no heat or styling tools :)
These were my curls a few nights ago. Sorry about the bad picture, I had to hold my BlackBerry over my head and I couldn’t really get the entire thing.
I made my curls using the “sock bun” method. There are tonnes of videos on youtube that’ll show you how to make a sock bun, which is where I learned it.
Video 1 - How to make a sock bun
Video 2 - How to curl your hair using a sock bun
Video 3 - Another video on how to make a sock bun. It’s a bit easier to see how she makes it, and it’s a bit shorter than the first one.
My thoughts on doing this: - It can be a little difficult to get the hang of making the sock bun, but just keep practicing and you’ll get there :) Remember, if you are only using the bun to curl your hair during the night no-one is going to see it, so it doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s okay if it falls down a bit during the night - It’s a great way to do it if you want to protect your hair. - You don’t need your hair to be damp when you do it, but it helps a lot. It really depends on your hair type. I have curly-ish hair myself so I only need it to be a little damp.
